On June 24, 2026, Venezuela was struck by two consecutive earthquakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5, followed by multiple aftershocks causing death and injury.
These events compound an already severe humanitarian crisis: as of early 2026, an estimated 7.9 million people in Venezuela needed humanitarian assistance.
Oxfam is responding in coordination with our local partners. We are commited to supporting the most affected populations, prioritizing relevant, timely, and community-centered actions.
There is a small chance that we will raise more money than is needed for this appeal. If this happens, we'll spend any additional funds on other Oxfam projects – wherever the need is greatest.
